Sized to the cat

Find the one that fits yours

Measure your cat curled up, nose to the base of the tail, then pick the size that leaves roughly a hand's width around it. Snug is the point.

See the full size guide

Measurements are outer diameter and rim height, taken flat.

One basket, three ways

Pick the one that disappears into your room.

The same coiled build in three natural rope colourways. Nothing fluorescent, no logo printed down the side.

One hundred per cent cotton

Undyed natural rope, no plastic core and no synthetic fibre anywhere in it.

The cushion lifts out

Wash the part that gets slept on and leave the rope body alone.

Shown in Brown

Warm brown reads as grey to a cat. Chosen for the room, not for the animal in it.

Cats are dichromats — they see blue and yellow-green best. Green is the one colourway your cat can genuinely pick out.

Disappears into pale floors and light rooms, which is usually where a cat wants to be anyway.

Handles that are handles

The two ear loops are structural. Lift it with the cat still inside and change rooms.

OUT OF THE BOX

Ships flat. Opens firm.

Rope baskets travel compressed, and the usual complaint is that they never recover. This one is coiled with a continuous stitch through every round, so the wall comes back up and holds instead of folding inward.

Why it works

The walls are the whole point.

A cat asleep in the open keeps part of itself on watch. Give it a contained edge on every side and the animal lets go properly. That is the difference between a bed a cat tolerates and one it returns to on its own.

Coiled, not moulded
One continuous rope wound in a spiral and stitched round by round, which is what gives the wall its stiffness.
A shallow bowl, not a deep box
Low enough that an older cat steps in rather than climbs, high enough that the sides still register as walls.
Cotton, which holds scent
Porous natural fibre takes on the cat's own scent over the first weeks. Synthetic sisal sheds it, which is why some beds never get used.

Somewhere to stop

Less pacing. More rest.

Put it where the household already gathers, not in a spare corner. A cat picks the room first and the bed second.

Living with it

Built to be moved, washed and lived around.

A cat bed spends its life on the floor of a busy room. This one is made to be picked up, shaken out and put back without losing its shape.

Cushion lifts out
The inner pad is removable, so the part that gets slept on is the part that gets washed.
Handles that are handles
The two ear loops are structural, not decoration. Lift the basket with the cat still in it and move rooms.

Bigger than I thought. Feels very well made with quality cotton rope... Within 5 minutes my cat climbed in and started scratching. Worth every penny!

Amy Mumpower Verified purchase

One cat adores it. He sleeps in it and uses it as a scratching post too! Money well spent! Well made and looks great!

Gwen Frazier Verified purchase

She started scratching it within seconds of me opening it... I've never seen her so excited about something new.

Christina W. Bowen Verified purchase

It's a box, a bed, a scratcher and a toy. My cats jumped right in and claimed them immediately! Looks like they'll hold up really well to our aggressive scratchers.

Mark Teater Verified purchase

I have 2 of these and my cats use them a lot. I just throw them in the washer and they are good as new. Very sturdy.

Katpie Verified purchase

Upon arrival it was in excellent condition, no smell, expanded to shape immediately. He immediately jumped in. It is holding up well for scratching and he curls up in it every day. Great quality, looks great in the room, very well made.

Cats investigated and interacted right out of the box... 15lb cat fits with room to spare in the large size.

pantherwest Verified purchase

My 15.5lb, 3 year old cat jumped right in and was napping in it in minutes. He loves it!

Elizabeth Candelaria Verified purchase

My lil guy is OBSESSED with it. Also scratches the furniture less and this more. 100% worth it.

Cole Klosterman Verified purchase

Absolutely the best for cats who've been scratching furniture and need to be redirected to something that's okay to scratch. My cat LOVES it.

Marina Verified purchase

My cats LOVE LOVE LOVE this! They use it to sleep in, play in and sharpen their nails.

Sarah Verified purchase

Molly is a very picky feline... now she prefers this over her cardboard bed. It's the first cat bed she's ever liked. For us, this is a winner!

DgH Verified purchase

I have 2 very picky cats and have tried MANY different beds for them and they turn their noses up at all of them. Even with catnip... They love to sit in them and lay down in them.

Foofsmom Verified purchase

FIRST bed my 7 year old cat has EVER slept in! I have bought her countless beds over the years... She absolutely LOVES this bed. 10/10!

Lauren S Verified purchase

My daughter said 'Mom, you bought cat summoning circles.' She was right - two of the three were occupied, and one of them had two cats in it. I'd say these are winners!

Measure your cat curled up, nose to the base of the tail, and add roughly a hand's width. Small suits cats up to about 4 kg, medium up to 8 kg, large up to 10 kg. When a cat falls between two sizes, the smaller one is usually the one it settles in.

It ships compressed to keep the parcel small. The rope is coiled and stitched through every round rather than moulded, so the wall lifts back to shape once it is out of the box. Give it a day to finish opening out.

Lift out the inner cushion and wash that separately. Clean the rope body by spot-cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it dry fully in shape. Do not put the rope basket itself in the machine, as that is what breaks the coil.

It might not be. What changes the odds is placement and scent: put it in the room the household already uses rather than a quiet spare corner, and leave something that smells of you or of the cat in it for the first week. Cotton takes on scent in a way synthetic fibre does not, which is usually what makes a bed stick.

The rope is natural cotton with no coating. Cats that habitually eat fabric should be supervised with any woven product, this one included. Occasional scratching at the rim is normal and does not unravel the coil.

Two small cats often will in the large size, but most pairs end up taking turns. If both cats use it daily, a second basket tends to end the standoff faster than a bigger one does.

Thirty days from the day it is delivered. Write to support@trybeaumont.com with your order number, send the basket back in its original packaging, and the refund goes to the card you paid with once it reaches us.
